Learn to Skate with 7 Rivers Figure Skating Club

7 Rivers Figure Skating Club offers Learn to Skate Group Lessons at the Tomah and Sparta Ice Rinks.  Skaters can register for once-a-week lessons or may register for both days!  Skaters will cover Learn to Skate USA curriculum for Basic Levels 1 and 2, these levels teach valuable skills for future Figure Skaters, Hockey Players, or Recreational skaters!  They will be tested at the end of the session, testing will take place on Sunday, November 9th and December 14th.

An Adult Class is offered this session.  Weekly Lessons are for all skaters ages 4 and up!  Skaters must bring a helmet (HECC Helmets are recommended but a bike helmet will suffice).  The rink does have some skates available to use during the lesson but must be left at the rink, we do recommend skaters have their own skates to insure they properly fit.  7 Rivers Coaches and Board members are able to give recommendations on where to get beginner level skates.

Youth Skaters will have the option to participate in the 7 Rivers Winter Showcase on the evening of Sunday, December 21st.  Group Number will be practiced on Sunday, November 30th and in class.

A Learn to Skate USA Annual Membership is required for skaters in this class and will be valid through June 2026.  If this is the skater's first time in Learn to Skate as of July 2025, please purchase at: Learn to Skate Annual Membership
